Exam Structure
The exam consists of two papers, with no break between them:
Paper I (General): 50 questions, 100 marks (General aptitude, reasoning, teaching/research aptitude).
Paper II (Subject-specific): 100 questions, 200 marks (Based on the subject chosen).
Duration: 3 hours.
Marking Scheme: +2 for correct answers; No negative marking.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject with at least 55% marks ( 50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Third Gender).
Age Limit for JRF: Under 30 years (relaxed up to 35 for female/reserved categories).
Age Limit for Assistant Professor: No age limit.
Qualifying Categories
JRF & Assistant Professor: Qualify for both Fellowship and Teaching.
Assistant Professor Only: Qualify for teaching positions.
Ph.D. Admission Only: Qualify for PhD admission in universities.
